Chipboard

Printed and unprinted white lined and unlined grey board, free from corrugated, scan or kraft board material.

Chipboard

Printed and unprinted white lined baled, new, pre consumer cuttings of paperboard, consisting of both white lined and unlined grey board, used in the manufacture of folding cartons, set-up boxes and similar boxboard products. Material should be clean and dry with only 1% of other boards permitted, such as OCC, coloured card, kraft board, scan board & so on.

Moisture levels permitted vary between 10% - 12% and the minimum amount of wires required is three per bale, however this may vary depending on the mill being supplied. Please be aware of any non-paper components or any foreign matter in the recovered paper and board which, during processing, may cause damage to paper machines or interruptions to paper production or may reduce the value of the finished product e.g. metal, plastic, glass, textiles, wood, sand, building materials et al.

Commonly used for: The manufacture of mass produced recycled board such as writing pad backing board or can be re-sorted for upgrading to news and pams. This material can be used in the manufacture of some tissue products, such as low quality blue hand-wipes as found in petrol stations for example and can also be used in some pulp packaging manufacturing applications, that requires light grey colouring.

Highlander tip: As this material can be used accross a variety of applications because of it's cleanliness and single fibre type, we would try and supply to all sectors that can use this fibre, so as to spread the supply risk.
