A bit more about Margaret;

Length of service (start date)?
I have been with Highlander since its conception. Officially working with the company since September2014

Age and place of birth?
I am currently 45 and was born in Baillieston, Glasgow
What's your favourite part of the job?
The people - I would be a boring world if we were all the same. I spend most of my day laughing (I mean working…)

What's your least favourite part of the job - and why?
Foreign drivers who insist they can only load from the left side. They tend to get a little heated when I explain that we load from the right in our yard. On the plus side, I can now swear in various languages!

What did you want to be when you were at school?
I was given the belt in first year for coming to school with pink hair - this was achieved from rubbing two sheets of carbon copy I had acquired from secretarial studies the day before, so from this highlight I thought I would be a hairdresser. Looking at photos now Vidal Sassoon didn't have to worry!!

Travel! Your favourite place you've been and one place you'd like to visit?
South of France, love it... Recently visited Rome and that was just as good. I would like to visit Vietnam.

Past times, what do you like to do when you're not working?
I like to bake as it helps me relax, Otherwise spending the weekend with my family and friends, and our dog Monty.

Camera - Action! Your favourite movie of all time?
The Wizard of Oz. I Love Christmas movies, I know 'It's A Wonderful Life' is a fave, but so is 'The Bishop's Wife'. Others include 'The Deer Hunter', 'The Shining', 'Die Hard 1+2', all the Blade movies, National Lampoon movies - the list can go on and on and on...

Doppelganger - who would play you in a TV series based on Highlander?
Drew Barrymore. She is slightly younger than me but I think it would be a fair choice.

Tipple - what do you drink at work and what do you drink out of work?
Water at work, anything in a large cocktail glass when I am out!

Cheesy music - your favourite band or singer now and when you were 13?
Duran Duran and Billy Idol when I was younger. Most of my music now is very varied. Nowadays I like Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, but most of the time I am still that 80's girl - Come on wake me up before you go-go, it's a classic!!!

The future - where do you see yourself in 5 years' time?
Fab at Fifty!

The future - where would you like to see the company in 5 years' time?
Highlander has undergone a large change in the last couple of years, diversifying into new(ish) fields and this can only mean a bigger and brighter future for Highlander and its associates. With hard work and commitment the future is looking good.

The Grand Finale - if you were stranded in a desert island, what three things would you have with you?
Hugh Jackman - for obvious reasons...Hello!!!
Jaffa Cakes
Maybe a piano, I always wanted to learn an instrument
